VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Hope Faith-Homeless Assistance Campus works to alleviate homelessness and poverty in Kansas City. There are a variety of ways to help out at Hope Faith, such as:

• Working in the kitchen to prepare and serve meals to those in need

• Supporting the Clothing Closet by sorting through donations and ensuring guests have access to items they need

• Conducting general volunteer tasks from administrative help, maintenance and facilities support, community support and outreach, and more!

In His Hands Children’s Home, located in Trinidad, TX, works with Child Protective Services to take girls on emergency or non-emergency basis and provides a safe environment for as long as a child is needing placement. As there are many laws and regulations around caring for these children, volunteering for In His Hands looks a bit different than your average support.

Ideas to make a change:

• Provide labor or materials to finish construction projects such as shade for the playground, adding a storage shed, creating a bike trail, etc.

• Sponsor a trip for the children to experience local attractions such as the zoo, aquarium, museums, water parks, and more.

• Organize a fundraiser or supplies drive. The most needed items are toiletries and personal hygiene products!

Located in Arizona, Sportsmen for Heroes works to honor and support both veterans and individuals with limb differences by hosting a trip through the great outdoors (and an optional hunting experience if desired).

The current need for volunteers is to participate as a guide in an outdoor excursion. If you are interested, please reach out to info@solventas.org or sportsmenforheroes@gmail.com

NueHealth Surgical Alliance exists to create a lasting impact by expanding access to safe and sustainable surgery. There are a variety of ways to support their cause:

• If you are a licensed medical provider, you can join on a medical mission to provide care at our partner facility in Malawi, Africa

  • Surgeons

  • Nurses

  • Clinicians

  • Lab and Ultrasound Techs

  • Pharmacists

  • Dentists and Orthodontists

• Gather medical equipment and supplies from local medical facilities to ship abroad to our partner facility in Malawi, Africa

  • Requested items include:

    • Sterilization tools

    • Anesthesia machines

    • X-Ray Units

    • Incubators

    • Wheelchairs/Walkers

    • Hospital beds

    • Crutches
