Meet the individuals helping shape the direction and impact of Solventas.

Solventas Foundation is guided by a dedicated group of individuals committed to thoughtful giving and meaningful impact. Our board of directors and team bring together diverse experience across healthcare, business, and philanthropy, united by a shared belief that when resources are deployed with intention, they can create lasting change. From strategic oversight to day-to-day execution, we work closely with our partners to identify opportunities, build strong relationships, and ensure every initiative delivers measurable, meaningful results. At every level, our work is grounded in a commitment to transparency, accountability, and impact—because we believe giving should not only make a difference, but do so with purpose and clarity.

  • DAN TASSET

    FOUNDER

Daniel (Dan) R. Tasset is an entrepreneur, investor, and healthcare innovator who believes philanthropy should go far beyond writing a check. His approach is rooted in partnership, accountability, and building systems that create lasting impact. In 2007, he founded what is now the Solventas Foundation (formerly Integral Life Foundation and One5 Foundation), with a mission to expand access, create opportunity, and deliver measurable results in underserved communities. Operating on a 100% pass-through model, every dollar goes directly to partners and the people they serve. Solventas focuses on identifying organizations already doing meaningful work and helping them do more through thoughtful partnership and shared accountability. Its efforts span global and domestic initiatives, including long-term healthcare infrastructure development in Malawi with Pothawira International, early emergency response and ongoing support in Haiti, and community-based programs across the United States. The foundation also leads internal initiatives such as Emma’s Angels, addressing social isolation among seniors. Dan’s philosophy is grounded in a simple belief: lasting change comes from strengthening local leadership, addressing root causes, and aligning resources with measurable outcomes. He remains actively engaged with physicians, partners, and communities, ensuring his work—across both healthcare and philanthropy—stays focused on real-world impact and long-term progress.

  • ALEX LISS

    FOUNDATION DIRECTOR

Alex serves as Director of the Solventas Foundation. Prior to transitioning into the nonprofit sector, she spent several years in the corporate technology space, where she developed a strong foundation in innovation, market awareness, and strategic networking. She now brings that experience to Solventas—leveraging forward-thinking strategies to drive meaningful impact and foster community. Outside of her professional work, Alex has volunteered with local organizations to educate high school students on technology and digital skills. In her free time, she’s often exploring the outdoors, trying new restaurants across the DFW area, or spending time with her dog, Eevee.

  • KELLY VITELLO

    BOARD MEMBER

Kelly Vitello recently joined the Solventas Foundation Board of Directors following a distinguished career dedicated to improving the lives of children and families. Kelly spent more than three decades at Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, where she served as a pediatric social worker and later as Director of Pediatric Social Work. Throughout her career, she worked closely with philanthropy partners and community organizers across Greater Cleveland to expand access to healthcare and mental health services for children and families. She also helped develop trauma-informed programs and services designed to better support children and adolescents facing complex challenges. In addition to her professional work, Kelly is a proud mother of two children, Chapin and Mackenzie, and has been married to her husband, Jay for 30 years. Following her retirement in January 2026, she has returned to a longtime creative passion, working with fiber arts and other artistic mediums in her studio in Florida. Kelly brings a deep commitment to service and community impact to the Solventas Foundation, and we are honored to welcome her to the board.

  • DANIELLA TASSET

    SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Daniella Tasset is originally from Overland Park, Kansas, and currently resides in Dallas, Texas. She is nearing completion of her associate degree in marketing at Dallas College and has a strong passion for storytelling, community impact, and creative content. Daniella supports the Solventas Foundation’s marketing and communications efforts through social media management, digital content creation, and promoting events and initiatives that highlight the organization’s mission and partners. She is driven by a genuine desire to help others and bring joy to those around her through both her work and community involvement. Her dog, River—also a beloved part of Solventas—helps extend that impact by visiting residents at a local senior living community, creating simple but meaningful moments of connection.

  • MACKENZIE BERK

    DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATION & PR

Mackenzie Berk is the Director of Communications and Public Relations for Nueterra Capital and the Solventas Foundation, where she leads strategic storytelling and brand development across healthcare, investment, and philanthropic initiatives. She began her career at Sutton, a leading cultural communications agency, where she worked with high-profile institutions, foundations, galleries, and global brands across the worlds of art, design, architecture, and luxury. Her client portfolio included The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, United Talent Agency, Perrotin, Lucifer Lighting, and Frédéric Malle, among others. Mackenzie brings a strong belief that communications should drive both visibility and impact. Throughout her career, she has remained deeply connected to nonprofit work, with a focus on extending meaningful outcomes beyond the day-to-day—amplifying initiatives that create real change. Outside of her work, she enjoys time with her fiancé Mason and their dog, Miso, along with needlepointing, long walks, and a great TV series.
